Detailed lithostratigraphic examination have been carried out in numerous evaporite sections of the chloride facies in the area of the Upper Silesia and in the vicinity of Wieliczka. In some of the cyclothems there are a number of key horizons which facilitate stratigraphic correlation even distant sections of evaporites
