POSSIBILITIES OF USE OF WAVES REFLECTED IN FRONT OF CRITICAL POINT IN SURVEYING DEEP CRUSTAL BOUNDARIES
Summary
The paper presents the results of seismic surveys of deep crustal boundaries in the Łeba elevation. The works made it possible to record waves reflected at about 37-42 km depth before reaching critical point. Identification of waves reflected from deep crustal boundaries on seismographs is impeded by several agents including surface waves. The latter may be effectively muffled by selecting appropriate method of field works. This is illustrated with same examples of wave records on seismographs. The results obtained show that it is justified to carry out works of this type.
