DIFFERENTIATION OF CONDITIONS OF POLLUTANT INFILTRATION TO THE SUBSURFACE WATER IN THE ROZTOCZE REGION (SE POLAND)
Summary
A characteristic feature of the Roztocze is the occurrence of abundant wells. The output of these wells in considerable (Fig. 1). 37 wells have been selected for the study, and the results of investigation are summarized in Table 1 and in Figs 1-3. There exists a clear dependance of infiltration of pollutants upon the hydro geological conditions of saturation zone. Loess cover seems to be of the greatest importance in the stop or delay of translocation of pollutants to the surface waters in the Roztocze.
