Abstract

GRAVIMETRIC SHADED PSEUDO-RELIEF OF POLAND

Summary
During over 30 years Polish Geological Institute in cooperation with oil industry has covered the country by very dense gravity survey. Over 830 000 gravity measurements have been made, attaining mean density of 2.66 gravity station per square km and mean distance between stations of 613 m. The data are now in computer data base which enables easy production of maps and images. These data are presented as shaded pseudo-relief images: in gray-scale and coloured one. The images are based on interpolated grid 1.1 by 1.1 km. The interpolation was made using U.S.G.S programme[1]. On the colour image the interval between colours is 6.1 mGals.
