INFLUENCE OF WATER CONTENT AND WATER PRESSURE ON THE ROCK STRENGTH AND THE ORIGIN OF EARTHQUAKES
Summary
Series of the measured rock strength values - Rm, according to water kinds and contents in rocks and to rock anisotropy, were put together. In the surface earth-crust sphere four rock zones were distinguished. They differ with water kinds and contents and with rock strength. Influence of dissociated gaseous-aqueous solutions on the predicated rock strength-RP for greater depths was discussed. Role of these solutions in rock cracks formation in greater depths was analyzed according to dilatation-diffusion and avalanche-unstable models.
