Abstract

EVALUATION OF ECONOMIC USE OF ROCK RAW MATERIALS - PART 1 Summary The use of rock raw materials is of special importance in the national economy so much attention should be paid to the question whether it is appropriate or not. Recently, works aimed at evaluating the actual state of use of ruck raw materials in the country were carried out on the initiative of the Committee of Mineral Raw Material Management of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The paper presents an evaluation of the basis of rock raw materials. The degree in which the needs for such materials is covered in the scale of the country and major reasons of the recorded shortage are discussed.
