Abstract
LIAS DEPOSITS IN THE LUBLIN COAL BASIN
Summary
Jurassic rocks with flora have been found in drillings east of Łęczna, in the course of geological surveys connected with documentation of black coal deposits in the Lublin Coal Basin. In early works, the rocks were treated as weathering cover of the Carboniferous. However, the authors gathered rich floristic material indicative of their Early Jurassic age. This was given support by finding similar sequences in other boreholes in the Lublin Coal Basin. The pa per presents preliminary results of the studies on that problem.
