POSSIBILITIES OF ECONOMIC USE OF DOLOMITES
Summary
The resources of dolomites are very large in Poland and the possibilities of use of this raw material in individual branches of national economy are fairly high but its actual use is still inappropriate.
Up to the present, dolomites are used in production of glass and ceramics, fire-proof materials, and in agriculture. According to the present author, a close cooperation of geologists, specialists in raw material processing and those dealing with final production, should result in widening the use of this raw material in both agriculture and several branches of chemical industry. Moreover, instead of importing large amounts of some raw materials, we could think about export.
