Możliwości i potrzeby szerszego wykorzystania geofizyki wiertniczej w dokumentowaniu zasobów złóż węgla brunatnego
Abstract
ON POSSIBILITIES AND NEEDS TO WIDEN THE USE OF WELL LOG DATA I N DOCUMENTATION OF BROWN COAL RESOURCES Summary The range of well log materials at present used in search and recognition of brown coal deposits is discussed and the methods of identification of brown coal seams on the basis of well log data and core material are briefly treated. The differentiation of coal seams on the basis of well logging is shown to be highly objective, which makes it necessary to use them on much wider scale in documentation of brown coal deposits. For comparative purposes, brown coal resources were estimated for two deposits. One deposit occurs in tectonic trough in the vicinities of Nakło and the other, of the layer type, in the vicinities of Leszno. The analysis showed marked differences in resources established on the basis of borehole data and geophysical measurements, especially in the case of economic deposits. The latter appeared underestimated for economic parts of the deposits at about 18% for the Nakło deposit and about 40% for the Leszno deposits. In concluding, the authors propose to treat results of well logging as basic material in estimating brown coal deposit resources, providing that borehole data are fully used.Downloads
