Uwagi o warunkach geologicznych mineralizacji miedziowo-molibdenowej w paleozoiku okolic Myszkowa
Abstract
SOME REMARKS ON GEOLOGICAL SETTING OF COPPER-MOLYBDENUM MINERALIZATION IN THE PALEOZOIC IN THE VICINITIES OF MYSZKÓW
Summary
The traces of mineralization in Paleozoic column in the vicinites of Myszków, NE margin of the Upper Silesian Coal Basin, are indicative of porphyry copper deposit formation. This is shown by their mineral composition as well as characteristic relations to Variscan magmatism and typical hydrothermal alterations of igneous rocks and metamorphic cover. Concentric original zonality of mineralization and transformations of rocks is shown. Erosional truncation appears insignificant which is important for search of deposits of that type in the Myszków structure.
