AN ATTEMPT TO DELINEATE PLANES OF TECTONIC CONTACTS IN SEISMIC PROFILES
Summary
Seismic sections made in areas with complex geological structure usually display complex wave image. A large part of waves recorded in such areas are treated as disturbing. The paper presents an attempt to interpret some waves hitherto regarded as disturbing, trying to show that may both give valuable information on the course of tectonically disturbed zones and, under certain conditions, facilitate delineation of planes of such zones.
