Abstract
SOME REMARKS ON ANALYSES OF THICKNESS OF THE ZECHSTEIN IN THE ZIEMIA LUBUSKA AREA
Summary
The paper present some examples of interpretation and use of superposition thickness maps in studies on the Zechstein (Figs. 7, 8) and its individual sedimentary stages (Figs. 1, •3, 5, 6) in the Ziemia Lubuska region. Both the methods of negative (Figs. 1, 3, 4, 6, 8) and positive superposition (Figs. 2, 7) were used. The thickness maps obtained with the use of the former method were found to be fully useful in paleotectonic analysis whereas those obtained with the use of the latter method - of limited value. The use of these methods makes it possible to get new data on selected parts of platform areas without additional costs.
