Abstract

STUDIES ON SOIL AND GROUNDWATER POLLUTION WITH PETROLEUM PRODUCTS AND THEIR SPECIFIC CHARACTER Summary The paper deals with studies on pollution of soils and groundwater with petroleum products, carried out by the Geological Survey. The character of these studies is shown to be specific because of some properties of petroleum products, resulting in vertical zonality of pollution m soil-water medium.
