Abstract

MAJOR OROGENIC PHASES AFFECTING FORELAND OF THE CARPATHIANS Summary Papers dealing with developments in the knowledge of the Carpathians and their foreland are discussed and geological structure of that region is outlined. On that basis, there are drawn some conclusions concerning major orogenic phases which affected the Carpathian foreland .
