DEVELOPMENT OF SEDIMENTATION OF UPPER PALEOZOIC CLASTIC ROCKS IN THE VICINITIES OF BRZEG
Summary
The paper presents results of new interpretation of the age and origin of sediments infilling the Laskowice trough (vicinities of Brzeg upon the Odra River). The discussed continental sediments are mainly represented by conglomerates, sandstones and mudstones as well as carbonate rocks formed or deposited in desert, lacustrine and river environments. Four sedimentary cycles are differentiated and the rocks are assigned to the Upper Carboniferous, Lower Permian and Lower Triassic.
