Summary
After discussing the used strength criteria and mechanism of destruction of rock massifs, there are analysed papers dealing with strength problems, submitted at the Scientific Session. There are analysed 6 of the submitted papers and attention is mainly paid to some doubtful points or those unsufficiently clear, often because of the lack of some necessary data.
