Abstract
THE RANGE AND METHODS OF HYDROGEOLOGICAL STUDIES IN DEMONSTRATION OF BLACK COAL DEPOSITS
Summary
Identification and demonstration of black coal deposits is accompanied by survey of hydrogeological conditions under which the deposits occur. The paper presents principles according to which the surveys are designed as well as the range and methods of hydrogeological studies. The range comprises direct hydrogeological studies in boreholes, geophysical studies and laboratory tests. There are also discussed changes in the range and methods of the studies in the years 1954-1979, which have taken place along with those in the technics of drilling.
The range of hydrogeological studies and the obtained results are presented at the example of the surveys in one of regions in the Rybnik Coal Basin, carried out in the years 1957-1979.
