Abstract
MECHANIC PROPERTIES OF CARBONIFEROUS ROCKS IN SW PART OF THE UPPER SILESIAN COAL BASIN
Summary
The paper presents results of studies on temporary compression, tension and traxial compression strength of Carboniferous rocks from south-western part of the Upper Silesian Coal Basin, i.e. areas where these rocks occur at large depths. The obtained results made it possible to characterize mechanic properties of rocks of three stratigraphic series: Namurian B (Main Anticline Beds), Namurian C (Ruda Beds) and Westphalian A.
