Abstract

STUDIES ON SEAFLOOR SEDIMENTS IN THE HEL PENINSULA AREA Summary The paper presents results of complex studies on seafloor sediments from area north of the Hel Peninsula, involving analyses of granulometric composition and chemistry, derivatograph tests and analyses under high-temperature microscope. The sediments belong to various types, mainly sands, silty sands and clays. Depending on petrographic character of samples, there were found marked similarities between their individual types and fractions.
