METHODS OF STUDIES ON STRUCTURE (VARIABILITY) OF GEOLOGICAL IMAGES
Summary
The necessity of quantitative estimations of variability in structure of geological images is discussed and justified. The estimations may be made using four measures of variability of geological-engineering objects: histogram of share of individual types of surface soils, entropy, index of structural variability, and autoassociation function. The measures were used in descriptions of variability of two escarpments of outer dump in the Bełchatów mine.
