Abstract

ANALCIMIZED GABBRO-BEARING ROCKS OF THE SOWIE GÓRY CULM FROM JUGÓW (SUDETY MTS) Summary The presence of analcime in sedimentary rocks is a mineralogical peculiarity and its origin in such rocks still remains not fully explained. The paper presents first data confirming specific and unusually high concentrations of analcime in gabbro-bearing rocks. Origin of that mineral in this specific case may be explained as due to activity of low-temperature hydrothermal sodium-bearing solutions on the gabbro-bearing rocks and presence of a major dislocation zone in the direct neighborhood, facilitating penetration of these solutions.
