Wyniki datowań termoluminescencyjnych osadów czwartorzędowych Kotliny Sądeckiej (Karpaty Zachodnie)
Abstract
RESULT OF THERMOLUMINESCENT DATINGS OF QUATERNARY SEDIMENTS FROM THE NOWY SĄCZ BASIN (WEST" CARPATHIANS) Summary Seven thermoluminescent datings of alluvial and slope deposits of the Nowy Sącz Basin (Polish West Carpathians) have been made. The obtained results (cf. Table I) indicate interglacial or interstadial (Table III) character of silty-sandy and silty deposits, covering various alluvial series. Main stages of accumulation of slope covers could be assigned to the Masovian and Eemian interglacials, as well as to the Brorup interstadial period. Special attention should be given to Early Quaternary conglomerates cropping out on the NW margin of the Nowy Sącz Basin. These conglomerates represent, besides the clays of Szaflary (Pieniny Klippen Belt), the second locality of the Podlasian (Cromerian) deposits in the Polish Carpathians.Downloads
