Abstract

EEMIAN INTERGLACIAL SEDIMENTS AT THE BACKGROUND OF HISTORY OF PLEISTOCENE SEDIMENTATION IN THE SECTION AT LISÓWEK NEAR GRODZISK MAZOWIECKI

Summary
The paper presents lithological characteristics of Tertiary and Quaternary sediments from the Lisówek section. Organic sediments, differentiated in that section, are 15.6 m and include: gyttja, lacustrine chalk and muds with plant detritus and gastropod fauna. The analysis of variability in physico-chemical properties of the deposits showed a change at the depth of 20.2 m, presumably related to a change in climatic conditions.
Correlation with moraine horizons in other sections in the Grodzisk Mazowiecki sheet made it possible to identify strata of the oldest (Podlasie) and South-Polish Glaciations (P2 and P3 and those of the maximum and warta (Masovian-Podlasie) stages of the Mid-Polish Glaciation.
