ON THE ORIGIN OF CHLORIDE WATERS IN THE FLYSCH CARPATHIANS - CONTINUATION OF THE DISCUSSION
Summary
Is has been recalled that the isotope data of chloride waters in the Flysch Carpathians, excluding earlier opinions on the mixing of infiltration waters with connate flysch water, and indicating the presence of metamorphic water, arise a number of new interpretation problems. The origin of salinity remains an open problem as there are no data from deep drillings, which could clarify the age and consequently the origin of the salinity. Among several discussed hypotheses, the multicomponent mixing is shown to be little probable. It has been proved that the authors. of this hypothesis base on arbitrary assumptions, uncompatible with known physical processes, and omit the experimental data which do not fit to their model.
