Abstract

LOCALITY OF ORIGIN OF TWO PROTOCONTINENTS. P. II Summary In the second part of the paper, the author reports a number of facts confirming the existence of antipodaly situated protocontinents, which carne into being on the quickly rotating Earth. Presented in the paper facts testify to reality of the existence of polar protocontinents created by quick Earth's rotation. Explained model of their origin may bring a new outlook on the Earth's thermal history and give a more adequate model of convection in the mantle. It gives foundations for describing of reconstruction of initial stages of continental drift, including a fascinating task to reconstruct a configuration of continents forming Ungava. It brings also, through stationary position of Gondwana, the very crucial changes to the mobilism's conception, giving to that scientific program which seems to lose its impetus, the new inforcements.
