ICHTIOFAUNA IN CARPATHIAN STRATIGRAPHY
Summary
In the paper the following conclusions are presented:
1. The results of authors' many years studies on variability of batypelagic and neritic - sublittoral fish communities (Teleostei) in the Menilite - Krosno Unit.
2. Spread of distinguished ichtiofaunistic zones in Carpathians
3. Possibility of calibration of ichtiofaunistic zones with nannoplanctic zones.
4. Interpretation of ecological diversity offish communities in continuous sections of the unit studied on a background of bathymetric changes of Carpathian basin and climatic changes.
5. A tentative correlation of Carpathian ichtiofaunistic zones with their counterparts in Caucasus and Western Europe.
