THE ACTUAL PICTURE OF THE ZECHSTEIN BASE IN LIGHT OF THE SEISMIC REFLECTION INVESTIGATIONS
Summary
The new seismic surface survey completed in the eighties permitted to update the structural image of the seismic reflection horizon Z’1 connected with the Zechstein bottom. Over about 60% of the newly constructed map the seismic data are fairly reliable. The results have been linked to 609 deep boreholes out of which 120 have been entered on the map. As the Z’1 reflection boundary has been proved to be a good reflector it was possible to construct a map covering about 90% of the Polish Zechstein area.
