Abstract
CASSITERITES WITH BANDED STRUCTURES IN MICA SCHISTS FROM THE CZERNIAWA ZDRÓJ AREA (LZERA MTS)
Summary
Banded structures found in cassiterites from the Czerniawy Zdrój area (Izera Mts) are discussed in detail. Bands formed of brown cassiterite are shown to be postcolloidal whereas those formed of colourless cassiterite intergrown with quartz and chlorite appear related to a process of rapid crystallization from hydrothermal solutions. The banded cassiterites were found to be affected by cataclasis.
