ON THE SEDIMENTATION OFP1ATY DOLOMITE DEPOSITS IN THE SOUTHERN MARGINAL PART OF THE PERI-BALTIC SYNECLISE (NE POLAND)
Summary
Exploration campaign of native sulphur deposits in the central part of the Carpathian foredeep showed that the Tarnobrzeg deposit does not continue to the Alfredówka- Gwoździec area. Nature of sulphur occurrence and lithological variation of Miocene chemical series in the latter area indicate the marginal zone of Tarnobrzeg deposit; in that zone economic content of sulphur is to be found occasionally and disappears toward the south. A lack of prospection perspectives in the selected geological structure prompts to start the thorough study of conditions of native sulphur accumulation in the Carpathian foredeep.
