CONCENTRATION OF RADON IN WATER IN THE REGION NORTH-EAST POLAND
Summary
The concentration of Rn-222 in 133 sampIes of water were measured by the liquid scientilation method. The average value was 7049 Bq/m3, with the range from 200 to 32000 Bq/m3. The measured sampIes derive from surface water, ladder well and drilled well, and have the values 3252, 8048,6898 Bq/m3 respectively. Radon present in drinking water can cause a higher level of this element in inner air of about 20%.
