Abstract
ORGIN OF UPPER JURASSIC SEDIMENTS FROM THE BYDLIN QUARRY (SOUTHEM POLAND)
Summary
Two main lithological types of the Bydlin limestones are distinguished as the effect of study:
association A - the layered limestones building a lower part of the quarry,
association B - the massive limestones building an upper part of the quarry.
An origin of the latter sediments was connected with dense cohesive mass flow. Redeposition of calcerous debris took placeon a short distance in high-energy conditions. Some materialwas probably transported from the layered limestones surrounding a core zone of the massive mud mounds.
