Abstract

CONVENTIONAL PROBABILITY OF THE GEOLOGICAL MODEL COINCIDENCE WITH THE GEOLOGICAL REALITY

Summary
Each geological cross-section, map and blockdiagram is only a geological reality model of an investigated site. Only a definition of a conventional probability of the geological model coincidence with the geological reality in the investigated site is practically possible, while only a part of the geological space in the investigated space is directly recognized (Fig. 1). The better recognized is the geological reality in the investigated site, the less geological models can be constructed on the base of the same set of the credible geological data (Fig. 2). The homogeneous geological bodies and their limits in the geological space in the investigated area can be presented on the geological cross-sections, maps and blok-diagrams as lines, that can be described as mathematical functions (Fig. 3). The correct definition of the conventional probability of each geological model with the geological reality in the investigated site may increase the position of geology among other natural sciences and may strengthen the role of geology in solving many composed problems of a rational land development and forming ecogeological conditions and also first of all in solving the more difficult problems of the mining and of each kind of building engineering and industry.
