20 lat tektoniki płyt w Sudetach

Abstract

Głównym celem artykułu jest przegląd najważniejszych aspektów w dotychczasowym rozwoju tektoniki płyt w Sudetach od 1977 r., kiedy to Cwojdziński opublikował pierwszą pracę geotektoniczną o ewolucji Sudetów opartą na założeniach tektoniki płyt. W artykule uwagę skierowano na najbardziej kluczowe publikacje i syntezy regionalne o budowie geologicznej Sudetów, bazujące na modelach tektoniki płyt. Podkreślono zwłaszcza podobieństwa, a także różnice pomiędzy poszczególnymi publikacjami, co prowadzi do wniosku, że nadal pozostaje wiele kontrowersji dotyczących ewolucji geotektonicznej NE części Masywu Czeskiego. W szczególności dotyczy to kierunku, czasu i lokalizacji stref subdukcji. Konieczne są dalsze prace nad rozwojem terranów sudeckich i ich zależności z pozostałą częścią waryscydów europejskich. 20 YEARS OF PLATE TECTONICS IN THE SUDETES Summary The aim of this paper is to summarize the more important aspects of plate tectonics in the Sudetes, SW Poland. In 1977 Cwojdziński wrote the first geotectonic paper which included plate tectonics to interpretation of the Variscan evolution of the Sudetes (NE part of the Bohemian Massif). Now, it is appropriate time to draw attention to key overviews, or regional syntheses of the Sudetes, which include plate tectonic models. Comparisons and contrasts between related articles will be highlighted and it will become clear to the readers that there is still! controversy regarding the geotectonic evolution of the NE part of the Bohemian Massif. In particular there is still disagreement regarding the direction, time and localities of subduction zones. More work is needed on the recently recognized Sudetic terranes and their relationship to the rest of the European Variscides.
