Petroarcheologia i rozwój jej badań na Dolnym Śląsku

Abstract

Przedstawiona została pozycja petroarcheologii wśród innych nauk jako nauka interdyscyplinarna, która obejmuje określone działy archeologii oraz nauki o Ziemi, a przede wszystkim petrologię, mineralogię, geochemię i geologię. Zadaniem petroarcheologii jest określenie, przy zastosowaniu współczesnych metod badawczych, surowców skalnych i miejsc ich naturalnego występowania użytych do wyrobów przedmiotów zabytków archeologicznych z różnych okresów i różnych kultur od początku istnienia i działalności człowieka. Podane są przykłady badań petroarcheologicznych na Dolnym Śląsku wykonanych w okresie powojennym głównie w ośrodkach wrocławskich. Wykopaliska i badania w różnych miejscowościach są prowadzone wieloetapowo, dlatego wyniki analiz nie zostały przedstawione chronologicznie ani regionalnie, a raczej problemowo. PETROARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH IN LOWER SILESIA Summary The main aim of this paper is the determination of the position of petroarchaeology, among other sciences. It is an interdisciplinary science, that enclosures some Earth sciences (petrology, geochemistry, geology). The main aims of petroarchaeology are: determination of the rock materials used for producing of archaeological monuments,determination of places of the geological origin of rocks. Petroarchaeological research includes various periods of the human civilisation development. The authors of this paper have brought to the attention petroarchaeological research made in the Lower Silesia after the World War II mainly in the Wrocław research centres. Excavations and research in various localities are run in many stages. Because of this the results of analyses are not presented chronologically and regionally, but there have been focused on the main problems connected with petroarchaeological research.
