Synklina lubelska jako efekt cienkonaskórkowych deformacji waryscyjskich - l
Abstract
Przy prowadzeniu prac poszukiwawczych na Lubelszczyźnie posługiwano się ogólnie przyjętym modelem zakładającym, że w epoce waryscyjskiej uformował się rów lubelski wypełniony osadami karbonu górnego. Wykazano, że model ten pozostaje w sprzeczności z danymi sejsmicznymi. Zaproponowano dla obszaru lubelskiego, odwołując się do przykładu Appalachów, styl deformacji cienkonaskórkowych. W świetle takiej interpretacji obszar lubelski jest synkliną wieku waryscyjskiego powstałą na skutek wydźwignięcia kompleksu karbońsko-dewońskiego przez spiętrzone skały staropaleozoiczne. Przyjęcie nowego modelu pociąga za sobą wiele implikacji poszukiwawczych, jak też zmusza do rewizji dotychczasowych poglądów na temat zasięgu fałdowań waryscyjskich.
LUBLIN SYNCLINE AS A RESULT OF THIN-SKINNED VARISCAN DEFORMATION (SE POLAND)
Summary
The tectonic development model used for the last forty years in the Lublin Region assumed that during the Variscan epoch Mazowsze–Lublin Graben arose which was infilled with productive Carboniferous deposits. In this paper it is shown that the grabenmodel does not agree with the seismic data. Comparison of data from the Lublin Region development and the Appalachian convinced us that the thin-skinned tectonic model better explained the geological facts than the previous graben model. We believe that the Lublin Region is a passive syncline formed as a result of uplifting Variscanoverthrust by rootless Warka–Kazimierz anticline and the Kock triangle zone. The new model implies practical consequences for the hydrocarbon prospecting, especially in the Kock Zone, where the horst model should be replaced by the triangle zone model. Also opinions about the border of Variscandeformations should be reconsidered as the NE border Variscan deformations coincide with a range of gentle folds of Carboniferous overstepping the Kock Zone to the East European Platform.
