Abstract

Ustalono obszary alimentacyjne i wpływ działalności wulkanicznej na osady czerwonego spągowca. Stwierdzono, że materiał detrytyczny pochodzi z obszaru Gór Kaczawskich i Izerskich, a rozproszony materiał wulkaniczny występuje w całym dolnym czerwonym spągowcu. Materiał piroklastyczny jest wynikiem działalności stosunkowo długotrwałego wulkanizmu o charakterze kwaśnym, przerwanego krótkim okresem intensywnej działalności wulkanicznej o charakterze zasadowym. Kwaśny materiał piroklastyczny różnicuje się w różnych cyklach diastroficzno-sedymentacyjnych, co może mieć pewne znaczenie litostratygraficzne.

The petrographic characteristics of the Rotliegendes deposits in the Lwówek Śląski region with particular regard to the role of the pyroclastic material

Abstract:

The alimentary areas and the influences of the volcanic activity on the Rotliegendes deposits are here determined. It has been observed that the detrital material comes from the Kaczawa and the Góry Izerskie and that the scattered volcanic material occurs throughout the Lower Rotliegendes. The pyroclastic material is a result of the relatively longlasting volcanism, acid in character, interrupted by a short period of very strong volcanic activity basic in character. The acid pyroclastic material differs in the particular diastrophic sedimentary cycles and this may be of some lithostratigraphic significance.
