Abstract


OPTIMUM CONTROL OF KGHM PRODUCTION WITH AN APPLICATION OF MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF ORE EXTRACTING AND PROCESSING

Abstract. In the paper a problem of optimum control of KGHM production process from the point of view of strategic investor is discussed. Investor should not look for every year maximum profits but with an assurance of constant, not too high, profitability should look for full extraction of the deposit in the longest time interval. It is important for employment and maintaining the workers, prospects of region development and cooperating companies as well. The paper is concentrated on the problem of optimum production of multi plant company, containing mines, processing and metallurgic plants. Optimum production of these plants as the separate units is not equal to optimum production of company as a whole. The problem can be solved with an application of mathematical model of whole production process. In the paper a basic aspects of a model construction are presented and some conclusions and remarks are shown at the end.
