Abstract
Secondary minerals of the weatherin zone of the Menilite series
Przedstawiono charakterystykę serii menilitowej, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem składu mineralnego i chemicznego łupków. Omówiono ich wykształcenie w strefie wietrzenia, i podano opis minerałów wtórnych, jarosytów, gipsiu, wodorotlenków żelaza, alofanów, melanterytu, epsomitu, kaolinitu i dickitu.
The paper contains a brief lithological characteristics of the Menilite series and a description of the mineral and chemioal composition of the shales. The secondary minerals forming in the zione of weathering i. e. jarosites, gypsum, iron hydroxides, allophanes, melanterite epsomite, kaolinite and dickite are described and the processes leading to their formation are discussed.
