Abstract
On the sedimentation of the Lgota Beds (Bielsko area, Western Carpathians)
Autor opisuje obserwacje nad sedymentacją warstw Igocgich zebrane w kamieniołomie w Kozach koło Bielska, w którym odsłonięty jest prawie całkowity profil tej serii. Podana jest częstość występowania różnych typów warstwowań oraz dane o uziarnieniu piaskowców. Autor opisuje erozyjne rozmycia ławic piaskowcowych, nieerozyjne zgrubienia ławic, ławice o strukturze osuwiskowej oraz niewielkie soczewkowate ławice zbudowane z gruboziarnistego piaskowca. Podana jest próba wyjaśnienia mechanizmu powstawania uwarstwienia laminowanego piaskowców.
The paper includes the sedimentological characteristic of the profile of the Lgota Beds (Aptian — Lower Altaian of the Carpathians Flysch) exposed in the quarry at Kozy near Bielsko (Western Carpathians). Frequency of various types of bedding and the corresponding variations of the mean thickness of sandstone beds, as well as the mechanical composition of sandstones are discussed. Wash-outs, changes of thickness of individual beds, slump deposits, and small lenticular beds are also described. The author proposes a new hypothesis on the mechanism of formation of laminated bedding.

Autor opisuje erozyjne rozmycia ławic piaskowcowych, nieerozyjne zgrubienia ławic, ławice o strukturze osuwiskowej oraz niewielkie soczewkowate ławice zbudowane z gruboziarnistego piaskowca. Podana jest próba wyjaśnienia mechanizmu powstawania uwarstwienia laminowanego piaskowców.
