Abstract

Relation between heavy mineral composition and source material of main "loess islands" in NW part of Małopolska UplandThe qualitative-quantitative heavy fraction analysis of the younger loesses, (Wütrm) in the NW part of the Małopolska Upland (Central Poland) has clearly shown the dependence of the mineral composition of these loesses on the type of the surrounding rocks which are the chief alimentary area of the loess dust.
