Abstract

The first ground-water level in the water balance of the Liwiec river basin

The interdependence of the groundwater levels W and the retention levels R has been determined by analysing a 10-year normal balance using the correlative calculations. The interdependence is represented by the power function W = 0.486 R^1,418 + 405.184 which has been used in Wundt's balance schema in calculating the saturation zone retention stages. The stages of retention in the saturation and aeration zones thus obtained differed from those resulting from the use of the original version of the method. The water balance composed in that way has been called Wundt's modified balance.
