Abstract

Titanomagnetite and ilmenite-hematite in mica-sillimanite schists from Romanów near Strzelin (Lowers Silesia) The spots enriched in iron titanium ores were found in mica-sillimanite schists, belonging to the metamorphic mantle of the granitoid Strzelin massif, Lower Silesia. Polished-section analysis revealed titanomagnetite and ilmenite-hematite in those spots, the genesis of which is presumably connected with post-magmatic processes related to intrusion of the Strzelin granitoids.
