Abstract

Origin and age of toe sandstone rocklets of Mt. Piekło near Niekłań (Holy Cross Mts)Sandstone crags of Mt. Piekło (near Niekłań, NW margin of the Holy Cross Mts) were formed by wind erosion of Liassic sandstones enriched in silica during the Tertiary. The main cycle of eolian processes has been connected with long-spanning activity of the western wind, which deposited the younger (Wòrm) loesses of the Holy Cross region.
