Abstract

Facial development of the Opoczno limestones (Oxfordian, NW mesosoic margin of The Holy Cross Mts)Analysis of macro- and microfacies, as well as faunal assemblages of the Opoczno limestones, reveal that their sedimentary environment was close to that of the Recent Great Bahama Bank. New ammonite finds made it possible to assign the Opoczno limestones to the Perisphinctes bifurcatus Subzone, Gregoryceras transversarium Zone, Middle Oxfordian.
