Abstract

GEODYNAMlCS IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND REGULARITY OF DISTRIBUTION OF HYDROCARBONS IN THE SUDEITIC FORELAND The general structure and geodynamics of the Sudetic Foreland, c. 44,000 square km in area, are discussed. The geological conditions of this area in the past reasonably suggest the formation of at least four generations of hydrocarbons, i.e. the Assyntian, Caledonian, Variscan and AIpine. The present distribution of hydrocarbons in the Permian rocks, also the nitrogen and helium content in the gas deposits are shown to be largely dependent on the paleomorpholgy and Postvariscan paleogeology as well as on the subsequent vertical movements. Five prospective zones have been differentiated occurring under various ecological conditions and differing in the nitrogen and helium content of natural gas.
