Abstract

CALCAREOUS CONCRETIONS IN THE CULMIAN GRAYWACKES OF THE BARDO MTS (SUDETES)

The report presents the petrographic and mineralogic analyses of the early-diagenetic calcite concretions from the Culm graywackes of the Bardo Mts (Central Sudetes). On the basis of their structure and mineralogic composition, an attempt has been made to determine the physico-chemical conditions of their formation. An analysis of the adjacent sediments has, moreover, suggested the source of the carbonate substance of which the concretions are composed.
