Abstract

The assemblage of echinoids from the Korytnica basin (Middle Miocene; Holy Cross Mountains, Central Poland) comprises mostly the representatives of the genus Echinocyamus van Phelsum in which four species are recognized (E. pusillus, E. pseudopusillus, E. circularis, E. linearis).Other taxa are represented i.a. by Arbacina monilis, Parasalenia fontannesi, Schizaster ventiensis, and many fragments of Aristotle's lantern, as well as plates, and spines of Cidaridae. Some remarks on the ecology of the investigated genera Echinocyamus and Schizaster are presented
