Hydrothermal laumontite from the Strzelin granitoids

Abstract

Laumontite occurring in post-magmatic veins in the StrzeIin granitoids, Lower Silesia (southern Poland), as it is evidenced by its physical and optical properties, chemical composition and crystallochemical formula, as well as by the X-ray; powder patterns, DTA curve, IR absorption spectrum, and studies of fluid inclusions in associated quartz, originated jointly with associated minerals at the temperature range 340-175°C under the pressure lower than 730 ± 70 bars from diluted CO₂-bearing hydrothermal solutions. Full succession of the minerals in laumonite-bearing veins from the Strzelin granitoids is subsequently presented.
