Abstract

A rich Chitinozoa assemblage has been observed in five boreholes of the Łeba Elevation region (NW Poland) within the black mudstones bearing Lower Caradocian graptolites. These microfossils occur in a horizon of rather small thickness which, in a regional scale, may be . regarded as a correlative horizon within the monotonous deposits of the graptolite facies.
