Abstract

Late Famennian shark teeth, mostly of the phoebodonts, have been found in the residues of conodont samples from the Holy Cross Mts, Central Poland. Two new species of the genus Phoebodus, viz. Ph. gothicus sp. n. and Ph. limpidus sp. n., have been established. Provisional stratigraphic ranges of the three most significant species: Thrinacodus ferox (TURNER), Phoebodus australiensis LONG and Ph. gothicus sp. n. have been correlated with international data.
